Self-adhesive label paper is mainly classified into the following categories:
1. Paper-Based Self-Adhesive Labels
• Coated Paper
Features a smooth, fine surface with excellent color reproduction. Commonly used for information labels on pharmaceuticals, food, beverages, electrical appliances, and similar products.
• Mirror-Finish Coated Paper
High-gloss surface, typically used for labels on pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and high-end gifts where visual appearance is critical.
• Kraft Paper
Offers a natural, vintage texture with good tensile strength and wear resistance. Suitable for industrial product packaging, express parcels, and agricultural product packaging.
• Writing Paper
Soft paper with strong ink absorption, ideal for handwritten or printed temporary labels, notes, and document classification.
• Aluminum Foil Paper
A paperless or film-based substrate that is minimally affected by environmental conditions after application. Suitable for premium information labels in pharmaceuticals, food, and related industries.
• Fragile Paper
Breaks apart upon removal and cannot be reused, providing strong tamper-evident properties. Commonly used for anti-counterfeiting seals on mobile phones, computer accessories, pharmaceuticals, and similar products.
• Thermal Paper
Changes color when exposed to heat. Widely used for supermarket price labels, cash register receipts, and logistics and transportation labels.
2. Film-Based Self-Adhesive Labels
• PE (Polyethylene)
Soft and flexible, with good resistance to water, oil, and chemicals. Commonly used for packaging labels on bathroom products, cosmetics, plastic bottles, and similar items.
• PP (Polypropylene)
Offers good heat resistance and strong resistance to water, oil, and chemicals. Suitable for thermal transfer printing and widely used for labels on chemical products and plastic containers.
• PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate)
High transparency, excellent temperature resistance, and strong mechanical properties. Ideal for high-end labels in electronics, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and related industries.
• PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride)
Water- and moisture-resistant with good adhesive performance. Commonly used for cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and outdoor advertising signage; however, it has relatively poor thermal stability and light resistance.
• PVC Shrink Film
A specialized label material for products such as batteries and pipes, which shrinks after application to secure the label firmly in place.
3. Special-Material Self-Adhesive Labels
• Holographic (Laser) Film
Features dynamic rainbow effects and a three-dimensional appearance, offering strong anti-counterfeiting performance. Commonly used for premium tobacco, alcohol, cosmetics, and other products with high security and aesthetic requirements.
• Brushed Gold / Brushed Silver
Brushed surface texture with resistance to water and oil, as well as high-temperature durability. Suitable for nameplates on electrical and electronic products or for enhancing product appearance.
• Transparent Self-Adhesive Labels
High transparency with minimal impact on the appearance of the applied surface. Ideal for glass products and electronic device screen protection applications.
• Synthetic Paper
Combines the advantages of both paper and film materials, offering excellent resistance to water, oil, and chemicals. Commonly used for information labels on premium products and environmentally friendly items.
4. Functional Self-Adhesive Labels
• Removable Adhesive Labels
Available with various face materials; leave no residue after removal. Suitable for temporary information labels on tableware, household appliances, fruits, and similar products.
• Wash-Off Adhesive Labels
Leave no adhesive residue after washing. Commonly used for beer bottles, tableware, and related product labels.
• Freezer-Grade Adhesive Labels
Designed for low-temperature resistance. Suitable for frozen food packaging and cold-chain logistics labels.
• High Initial-Tack Adhesive Labels
Provide rapid bonding to rough surfaces such as corrugated cardboard and wood. Commonly used for logistics carton labels.
